前文 Nothing More 的中文用法 中舉出一個例子， 說明英文 Nothing More Than xxx 的用法。
我舉的例是：
比如有個政客競選時說怎樣為民請命，當選後卻以權謀私，貪污舞弊，就可以說：
To hell with his election promises. He's nothing more than a thief ! (去他媽的競選諾言，他無非是個賊！)
但是如果不說He is nothing more than a thief， 說 He is nothing less than a thief， 兩者有甚麼分別呢？
語意上是有一點分別的，當日成文倉卒，沒有交待，現在解釋一下。
說 He is nothing more than a thief ，重點則放在「他這個人」上，說他的卑劣，只配用「賊」這個字來形容。
與說He is nothing less than a thief，重點則放在「賊」上，說他是個「不折不扣的賊」，說他是賊，絕無冤枉他的意思。
